1st generation literature?
hey guys, I've always thought the first generation camaros were pretty much the most badass cars of all time. Unfortunately i didn't get to grow up in the 60's and 70's to drive one of these monsters but i'm hoping some day to own one. Problem is, unlike my 4th gen, i know nothing about the early camaros, and i mean literally nothing. If i bought one i wouldn't know what to do with it as far as modifications go or even what my options are. I was hoping one of you could point me to some literature where i can read up on these cars. Obviously i'm not looking for a build your own car type manual but something that explains the car thoroughly, how they run, engines, what stroked, bored out, and all those terms mean exactly. I'd really like to become knowledgeable about these cars but i have no idea where to start. I know a lot of people learned about these cars growing up with a mechanic in the family or working at a shop, but i never had that luxury. Any help on how to get started would be appreciated. thanks guys.

Yeah, thats it. Good info but not overly technical. Glossy pics. Great for the coffee table, but not for the garage. Check it out.

You will actually need more than one book. I have found plenty of these books that show the oem condition, this would be for the restorer, I have seen some with all modded cars for the customizer. There are plenty out there. Youmight be better of getting a book (or two) on the engine alone, how to hot rod or something like that. And get one about the car itself. Chilton manuel for repair and the assembly manual for knowing where some obscure parts go and what they look like. MAybe a restoration book to know what you have and get idea for what you want.
