Default 1969 door skin replacement

Can anyone tell me if the window needs to be removed to replace a door skin on 69 camaros? I would rather not if I don't have too. I am about to do this for the first time. Thank you

It does not need to be removed, but If your going the effort to replace the door skin, then it should not take long to take out the window. Best to not take any chances while removing the old skin. It would make the door just a little lighter to work with too when removed. Also take advantage and lube up the rails and regulator and inspect the upper and lower stoppers and other hardware. Not sure on the condition of your car, but check out the door lock assembly and hinges too while your in there and inspect for rust and clean out all the debris. Take that extra time and do it right so your not back inside that door again.
