I'm looking for some information on body work.

My BIL has a '69 Camaro that has rust in the fresh air plenum under the wipers near the firewall. He wants to have the panel replaced.

The trunk panels also need replacing.

Both rear quarters have a little rust in them, about the size of a quarter, but they might not need replacing. However, until the paint is off, we don't know if there is bondo or worse rust.

The car is all apart and the front clip is off right now. Dash is out and basically it is a shell right now.

Anyone have an idea what this runs in a body shop? With and without the rear quarters?

We'd like to have a ballpark figure so as to budget on it. I figure so many of these have been done, with all the rusty Camaros that have existed, that ballpark figures shouldn't be hard to come up with.

This is what I have had done to mine. Sounds like the usual rust spots. I would imagine you would have to ask around to fine out what the bodyshops in your area are charging for restoration and how they work. The guy who did mine was an old school craftsman and did a finominal job. I spent 9k on an almost total shell restoration and paint job. I know that price is pretty good compared to others I have talked to and feel very lucky to have had Bob do the work. Only minimal things that I am unhappy with.
