The 327 in 68 was for the base Camaro. 350 and 396 were standerd for the SS. I guess the SS could have been ordered with a 327engine but I cant imagine why.

In '67 and '68 you could custom order your standard camaro with all or most of the HiPo goodies. As long as it was not ordered as an SS, the 327/275 (L-30) was the motor of choice. Combine that with the RS package and you really had something. In today's world, this original product would be a very rare find !
When this car was ordered as stated combined with the M-20 4 speed, it was called the L-30 M-20. I've got my eyes open all of the time for one of these to accompany my original matching #s '67 SS 350 convertible.
