Default Corvette to Camaro Transition?

Hi. New this forum and I am trying to decide if I should transition from a 2019 C7 Corvette Convertible to a 2023 Camaro Convertible. I'm an older guy over 6' tall with no mobility problems, but my wife and sidekick is having aging issues and probably will not be riding with me anymore. Not much fun to cruise by myself. So in looking at available cars with good performance and priced less than $90K the Camaro 2SS seems to fit. I have sat in the car but not driven or taken the wife for a ride. I would appreciate any insight from any older owners who have come over from a Vette or any other low slung ride as to overall riding comfort and how easy it is to get in and out of the car. Thanks!

BTW: Our first car was a silver '70 Camaro with a black vinyl top. Loved that car for over 70K miles.

Welcome aboard,I haven't sat in a new Camaro but I suppose it's not quite as low as a C7 but surely still low.
I would suggest you take the wife down for a visit to the dealer and have her take a seat and get a test drive to see if the Camaro will give you a smile.
I get the aging thing,I'm almost 67 but the wife doesn't like riding in my Camaro so I'm thinking about a C6 or C7 Vette as my last hotrod car.
The wifey does like long trips on the Harley Electra Glide so we have that to do together.

Thanks Y2Keglide. I'm in my early 70's now and have gone through Honda's, Norton's, Kawasaki's, Goldwings and Harleys, a MGTF, Corvette C3, C4, C6, and C7 Vettes since our first 1970 Camaro. Many kid haulers in between. We love to cruise but unfortunately time has caught up with us. We're fighting it and a convertible Camaro sounds like it might be what we need.

I'm rocking a 2019 Electra Glide,my 3rd Electra to date and maybe my last,we'll see.
I also have a '74 Iron Sportster and an '89 FXR Super Glide.
I kept my last Electra a 2000 bought new for 20 years and 200,000 miles, would probably still be riding it if I hadn't test ridden a 2019.
I'm still working full time and in pretty good shape, planning to retire at 70 for that top tier SSI,I have a year and four months to be eligible for a union pension so what's a couple more years as long as I have my health.

Oh Yeah, you are in good shape! Broke my heart to sell the Harley's I had but the young guy I sold my Street Glide was super into it so I hope it keeps the spirit going. Great bikes even if they don't match the foreign technology. We like them!

Default I went with the Camaro

I'm 63. Wife is 65. We rented the Corvette and while it was a gas to drive, getting in and out required the use of just about every expletive I know. I even made up a few new ones. Rented a Camaro SS convertible and we both fell in love with it. Easy to get in and out. Everything has been tweaked a d refined. I bought the 2SS convertible, with the suspension and exhaust options - I bought it from Hendricks in Atlanta sight unseen, so I got what was available. Mine is a 2022. Red with black top. Awesome car.

I made the switch from a 2019 Z06 to a 2023 ZL1. My only regret is that I didn’t do it sooner.

I haven't checked this forum for a while, and our decision was made. I picked up a '23 SS convertible not too long ago. So far we're pretty happy.
