Default 2016 camero base model Lt non convertible

Car was struggling to start and chopped it up to battery, replaced battery and car starts ok but does a stall/click before it starts.

Any ideas?

I'm coming from bmws where the battery had to be registered with the ecu via bmw software and obd cable in order to charge properly.

Battery is new from autozone and amps and voltage match up

Tried a new battery and no luck ended up taking the battery back and as per a view of the other forums have determined that it must be the starter took out the 2 bolts and removed the little tiny heat shield but I cannot get it to come out any advice?

I'm not entirely familiar with the 5th and 6th gens, but if it's like other Chevys, should just be two bolts that hold the starter in plus the wiring. You might have to twist and wiggle it a little to get it out

There are 2 bolts that face the nose of the car and 1 bolt that faces the *** of the car. The green arrow is the "3rd hidden bolt" I believe all 3 are a 15mm

THE STARTER WILL COME OUT EASY AS **** IF ALL THREE BOLTS ARE OFF!!!! DO NOT HAMMER AND FORCE IT OUT!!!!

I also took out the exhaust canister completely disconnected the 2 o2 sensors and took that ***** out

Would have never guessed there was three bolts. I would question why GM did that, but I've worked on enough vehicles to know not to question what that 6 figure paid engineer was thinking.

I would almost be tempted to leave that third bolt out.
