Hey guys,

Just joined forum. I would like your advice. Have 2010 2SS and the auto is rated down 26 hp on stick. Salesman told me that it is detuned from factory for auto and EPA reasons. Said simple programming can gain you back 15-20 hp. My question is since programmers are expensive, which programmer do you think is best, and which programming will give me the best compromise in extra HP without losing much MPG?

Not sure about the answer to which programmer (tuner) is best.. I hear Phil at Tampa Tuning is pretty good..
but... and please doublecheck me.. from everything I understand, if you mess with the programming (tuning) you will void your 100,000 mile, 5 year power train warranty if it breaks.

 

i think that is why most of the programmers offer an "instant reset to stock" option.

 

I also done lots of search but can no find any agreement on tuning for L99. I am waiting delivery of 2011 Camaro SS L99 to Venezuela. I want to plan how best to make mods to my car in safety. Warranty is not really concerning but do not wish to damage motor unnecessary. Thank all for any answers. I am hope that it can be a device can flash the OBD port or similar. To back stock option sounds well too.
