I really don't know about the camshaft option. You have the L99 which shuts off four cylinders while cruising, its called AFM I think. You'll have to research that. I don't think that sticking in a cam will be easy. You'll definitely need a tune at the very least and you might have to ditch that AFM system.

ya the afm is bad news for modding its pretty much bad news for anything why buy 8 cyl when your only running 4

Actually, I have seem camshafts that incorporate the Variable valve timing. They are running for about 6-900 dollars. depending on the type of RPM gain desired (low-mid-high). But finding a reputable, truthworthy place that installs that in the state of new york, is going to be difficult.

Apparently the camaro 2ss (stock) would be a corvette C6 (stock) ?
