Default Just Bought 2010 Camaro "Need Help"

First of hello friends i just created my account so i am new too this forum, i was directed here by a friend. Basically i have just bought my 2010 Camaro 2LT V6 (Imperial Blue) With white stripes, it is used as a demo car with 8k miles, about 4 - 6 weeks old now, and i need help getting started on stepping up with the big dogs on my upgrades, basically i want too know the best stuff i can use on my camaro that isn't very expensive but not cheap junk too make it sound and look nice. I was wondering about what are the best upgrades i can do with my air intake, exhaust system, anything that will Bring HP and Torque up from 312 or 320 i believe, i know its not a a v8 so dont even bother mentioning that please. But what my friend has showed me from what i was originally going to get was cherry bomb exhaust system but now what he showed me was the SLP Cat back mind pipe and front with Loudmouth II, i also wan to see if you guys can help me find good websites that sell sporty looking rims that are not as expensive, like around 500-1000$ at most for all 4 or close too it. And i want too know wether the car care products from "MOTHERS" are any good.

Intake/headers/exhaust here are the three i would start on. Although if your planning to do forced air intake fairly soon avoid the intake. From what it sounds like you arent ready for that yet due to costs. Another thing to think about it upgrading your clutch. this will help you get more power "to the wheels".

Well tell me about the cost because im sure it wont cost me as much as a supercharger around 8grand, but also i dont have a clutch i believe , my car is a Automatic V6, LT2.

Just look around the net for the best deals.... and no all three together wont cost you even close to 8 grand for the supercharger... not to mention the compression ratio is already high so you would have invest in lowering the compression ratio before putting any forced air induction onto that engine... in my opinion start with the easiest and move from there... so shop around for a performance intake... there are quite a few companies out there, I recommend K&N but there are a lot of people that carry the same thing... The Intake will run you anywhere from $200 to $350 depending on the name and quality... it will add anywhere from 5-20 HP but i would say around 12-15 on the 3.6L. There are also EMS (Engine Management Systems) which bypass your ECU... this is basically "Chipping" for lack of a better word... it bypasses your ECU and lets you control the engine, including air to fuel ratio spark timing and so on... this system will cost you anywhere from $500 to $1,000 plus... this also isnt for the beginner.... you can destroy your engine if you dont know what you are doing.

Well this guy and i already put a performance chip in but not the one that re writes the whole system and leaves a blue print if broken, does not void a warranty. And i was looking around for intakes friend of mine told me Injen is a good brand or so and also for the exhaust system i cant really not put it on without upgrading other things like for catalyc converters a guy i know said before you get those manage on getting the system on first then changing them out along with sport performance spark plugs

What kind of chips? i hope your not talking about that GForce one... or one of the ones that claim 60Hp for around $70... if this is what you are referring to these aren't chips at all they are resistors...they say they don't void the warranty but if something happens i wouldn't tell the dealership you put it in... although yes it may not actually change the ECU it still changes how the car runs which would be plenty reason for the dealership to void your warranty... make sure that if you have to bring it in that everything is stock because they will deny for any little reason they can. I am a little weary on any chips that i have so far found..

No not a Gforce i think its called Ultimate Performance, a guy the guy i installed it with recommended it was around 65$ just said it would bring 2 - 5 MPG more and add atleast 15 - 25 HP or so, i thought it was too good too be true but i still got it and i have kind of noticed my MPG went up alot more not sure about the HP though, But its just 50$ out of my pocket if its fake i can always make that up and or remove the chip when i want if i ever do happen to take it to a dealership. But hey well since we were talking about air intake and exhaust systems, Cant i just replace the system before the intake? or will it mess with my engine and how much power is forced down the pipes.? Like i was saying I was thinking of either Injen Air Intake after i changed out my system which is roughly 350 - 450$ , and These are the exhaust parts i was thinking of getting. (Axle Back) - http://www.lmperformance.com/53622/119.html , (Headers) - http://www.lmperformance.com/56403/119.html , I cant seem too find a matching mid pipe, everything else is v8 =/ , Help me out if ya can.

From what i have read its basically just a $2 dollar resistor from radioshack... what it does is trick the engine into thinking its hotter than it is... This would explain the increase in MPG. If you can return it i would. I have head a few stories online about people adding these then they start hearing knocks in thier engine. as far as i know there isnt a chip for the camaro yet. The exhaust looks good though, exhaust will usually get you some better sound. remember to upgrade your intake with this if you haven't already.

Yea i was going too buy the Injen Air Intake for the camaro about 450 - 500$ like i said but i wasnt too sure whether installing the cat back with out the intake would do any harm too the engine, But do you know any places online that has matching SLP pipes for a v6 engine with those 2 links i gave you for the cat back and headers.

It wont do any harm, but with an engine you want to keep things balanced, always look at the other side, if your increasing the flow from your exhaust you should probably increase the flow of air to engine.
