Angry Differential repair?

Hi Guys. My 2014 has been making a noise from the rear that I had assumed was a rear wheel bearing or cylinder issue.
Repair shop charged me $400 to repair a wheel bearing and when i went to pick it up, they advised me that the noise is still there, and its an issue with my differential. Said it doesnt cost as much as it used to and they might be able to fix with either a repair kit or gently used parts.
Now, I feel like I just got screwed over because the noise I asked them to fix is still there.
They were supposed to get back to me with a quote. Its been a week and they havent.
Going to start looking for a new shop to fix this, but hoping someone here can give me an idea of what I should expect to pay for this next repair.

Thanks in advance for any helpful responses.....

was this at a dealership? always ask parts they replaced. have the shop diagnose and give an estimate in writing.
