Hi everybody, I’m new here. In the process of buying a 2011 V6 for my son for us to fix up together that’s gonna become his car. He wasn’t able to join the group because he’s under 18 so you’re stuck with me. The car we buying has a misfire and I was looking for suggestions. The current owner has replaced the solenoid purge valve twice and keeps getting a repeated code that it’s bad. He did mention that at one point in the past, he got bad fuel and had the fuel system flushed based on just a little bit of homework. I did online. I was thinking there could be an issue with the charcoal canister, maybe a cracked or bad line or vapor canister, purge valve. I haven’t put my code reader on it yet. We are picking it up next week, but I was hoping to be able to take her with it today. We bring it home and see if I can get anywhere. Does anybody have any other baseline suggestions with just a limited bit of info? As soon as I get it, I’m gonna put the code reader on it and see what it shows.
