Default Water on rear passenger floor?

2013 ls camaro

Anybody know where this could be coming from? I don't have a sunroof or convertible (all the info I've found online is for cars with those options) but the floor in the back is soaked after we got some rain. I don't see a water trail from where it came from.

Any help would be great, thanks!

is it on both sides or just one? if you can look under the back seat or in the trunk to see if its somehow making its way in from there. other spot would be the door seal at the back of the door, see if carpet is wet up to the bottom of the door.

Hey thanks for the reply! It's just wet on the passenger side. I'll go double check but I couldn't feel any obvious trails of water coming from the door or trunk. If it's coming from the door should I just start pulling apart the plastic trim by the door?

This is probably unrelated but I did notice a small amount of water down where the battery and spare tire are in the trunk. Not overflowing though, just about 1/4" of water and a bunch of condensation. I climbed under the car and popped out a rubber grommet that's under the battery and it all drained out.

I would first look at the trunk seal and see if its coming lose and or is not sealing. sometime the water gets under the seal where it is not glued or sealing correctly to the body. at least that's happened on the 4th gens. usually some sealant under the rubber seal takes care of it. happened on the 2000 hatchback I have. the rubber had worked its way lose in a spot and water was working under it. it happens in the t tops that 4th gens have as well.

We'll I decided to just take it to the dealer and get it taken care of promptly and professionally.... Right. For $300 they resealed the deflectors on both doors and I believe the leaking has stopped (I'm still drying it out so it's hard to say for sure).

But now the passenger side door handle doesn't work. No big deal, made an appt and 4 days later they fixed it for free. I'm happy to finally have it done with.

But wait theres more. Yesterday I noticed that the passenger door panel which they have removed twice now is broken and not on snuggly against the door. What the #$&*. I'm called but the service manager was already gone for the weekend. So much for getting it taken care of right by the pros at the dealership. Wish me luck on getting them to fix the door panel...

It wasn't a Camaro but I had a faulty seal replaced a custom detailer once - much cheaper and worked a charm.
