I've had my battles over the years with GM honoring their warranties on cars I bought new from them. But I don't feel GM is any different than other manufacturers that tries to limit their repair exposure costs.

Yes, aftermarket in my experience makes a car/truck. My vehicles don't stay stock for too long... Been building for 31 years, so this "noob" stands by his recommendation of a SC.

Glad to hear the OP had his shifter problem remedied.

Dropped off this morning and got a call saying more parts are needed and they are being overnighted. When I asked the guy what was up, he did offer a rental. I said I would get one if its not done tomorrow but not worth the hassle for just over night.

So just picked it up and the shifter is as tight as when I bought it. Feels like they must have replaced more than just the stick, because the action is tighter too now. I might have to even wait till its broken in again to replace it with the MGW.

Big props to Al Serra South for getting it taken care of for me.

Default MGW Shifter

Will have to make the decision after my stockie gets right though.
MGW makes one fine piece, I had one in my '03 Cobra and it was a huge improvement. I was sooo impressed w/the shifter, I took pics of the stock unit vs. the MGW shifter.

FWIW: it was the shifter of choice for most Cobra's changing-out their shifters.
