Default Pontiac G8?

Is the Pontiac G8 considered a "fast" car? Each morning as I leave to work I have one that keeps wanting to challenge me and I'm not much into challenges in regular weekday traffic. Amazing when you drive an SS how many times someone just wants to see how fast or quick it is.

If it is a GT it has an upgraded LS2 360 ish HP stock. These cars are very easy to mode. I think they can hit 390 ish with just a tune. If you do bolt on 425 is pretty easy.

I've seen one or two of them with a cam and bolt-ons hit 500whp

I never realized it has much under the hood. I always thought it was just a sporty looking family car.

So today he was out again and doing the same challenge thing at the stop lights. This time the roads were empty though. I'm guessing the G8 was stock. It was quick but not fast. Seemed to me that the advantage for me was the manual transmission and the slightly greater HP of the SS. Coming out of 3rd he was just image in the rear view mirror. Love this car.
