Default Manual gearbox warnings!!!

http://www.autoblog.com/2009/07/13/b...ures-reported/

seems to be a bad batch of tranny's out there. some have mentioned waiting a year until the kinks are out and that sound like a good idea.

excuse my language but DAMNIT!!!! lol...good news is that this issue was recognized before mine has been produced...bad news is that i now have no idea what the wait will be as i was expecting it to be here in about 4-5 weeks

yeah i also saw this report on camaro5 this morning and was very angry...but i have given myself some time to calm down and not let my emotions take over and now i see that recognizing, reporting, and jumping on the issue is exactly what needs to be done so that i don't end up with a car that breaks down and a company that refuses to accept a warranty claim...

i'm looking for the good in this...tbarber87 i know this news will be very upsetting to you too and believe me i feel your pain =/

good thing ours haven't been produced yet (ha ha did we ever imagine we would be saying those words?! hahaha)

yes for all you that have a manual transmission, watch out, the output shaft are breaking. a lot of people have seen this especially from the launch shift

good news....this morning gm announced that shipping has resumed on the bayed ss manuals

from my understanding it's not a model-wide problem, but i suspect they will still test them a little more thoroughly than the other camaros before they release them for shipment, but at least they do not have a hold preventing shipping on them anymore once they have been tested

boo!! this IS very upsetting news but like you all said, at least ours haven't been produced yet and we will get them in working order rather than having to take out brand new ones in to get fixed. . .still a huge bummer though hope they fix it quick, i was on my one month count down
