I am definetly getting one of the new camaro's i'm just curious why the chevy website says will hit the streets in 09' and people on here are posting 07' just curious where this info is coming from i don't want to get my hopes up.

 

dont. i dont know where they got the info on 07 from but there is no way in hell the cars will be ready then. They are still dealing with stamping issues and have not even started full on production yet. Something like this can not happen over night. and Gm is not going to build a pile of **** just in hopes of making some money this year. they have there new trucks out that they wasted the last 4 years and millions of dollars on. They plan on those selling like hot cakes. Not the Camaro.

 

Whether you beileve it or not about the Camaro coming out in '07 that is your opinion, and yuo should read some insiders and talk to some GM reps before you talk about the problem they are having considering they are auctioning off 40 of them theat were produced, and the car even if it isn't out in '07 is planned to be out in late '08 as a '09 model, not an '09in '09. But either way who cares if you're getting one you're getting one when it comes out, just don't be suprised if it is out earlier than expected, plus if Chevrolet waits till mid-late '08 the Camaro's time will have passed the market wil be completely different and the mustang and challenger will have stolen the show away, plus with nissan and toyat working on cars to compete with mustangs and camaros that plan to be hybrid, the Camaro is done, toyotas are reliable unlike a Cevy even thoguh I love Chevy I know which is relaiable, I work in the automotive business!

My dad is the head of die design for Gm and I know for a fact they wont be out till 08 as a 09 model like was stated. Last time i talked to him about the he said there were problems stamping the quarter panels and they to change some things around to get it to work. The quarters were to deep to stamp out right so they had to change that. Ill have to give him a call and find out where they stand on it now after the holiday break.
