Yeah, the guys up here had mentioned the dealership down south would have to take car of everything if they were found at fault. If I have to jump through a thousand hoops with no transportation for a month, then come all the way back up here just to pick up my car that blew up because GM put in a faulty part, my first act on getting this car back is trading it in for a Mustang.
Get a GT, the only acceptable Mustang

Justin, I would suggest checking through your Warranty Manual and Owners Manual (if you can) to see what they say about a possible rental. Also I would suggest getting into contact with our Customer Assistance team as well. If you'd like help with getting in contact with us let me know.

Thank you for the info Jeff.

Finally made it back to Alabama. The warranty work was finally approved, and they do offer a rental car. However, I had to pay for my ticket back to Alabama, and I have to pay to get back up there, and drive the car back done, whenever the new engine is installed, apparently it is on back order, so it could be a few weeks.
So, it looks like this warranty work is going to end up costing me about 800 dollars in flying back and forth, and 4 days work. They also said I could trade it in, but because Camaros don't sell in winter up there, they would only give 4k less then the actual trade in value of my car. So that wasted another day with them promising they will work it out, then being unable to do so.
I hate to say it, but as often as my Dodge tried to kill me and broke down, I never had issues like this dealing with the big D. Looks like my Christmas present this year will be trading in for a Challenger or a Mustang (GT so iLL wont be too disappointed)

However, I have to say all the folks on this forum have been awesome. GM may have been a fail, but the community has been a win
