Did anyone see the the lead designer on the new Camaro? He was Japanese! Why the hell would GM put a guy from Japan as the lead designer for the New Camaro; the epitome of AMERICAN muscle?!?!

I could'nt agree more.....WTF does it matter if the designer is oriental? Nobody seems to complain when some stupid overpaid rapper builds a hopped up honda. And who cares whatSnoop Dogg thinks about the new Chrysler 300? Get a life! OtherDesigners design the car for the love of the car regardless of their heritage. I'm nothing but a Detroit pollack ...so who cares about the ethnic heritage of the designer or buyer?
im going to have to disagree with you on that one, i do realize that a lot of people i have talked to dont like the style of this camaro, but in my humble opinion, i think its amazing. Its not an exact replica of the 69 camaro, but it does model it with a retro spec and more aggresive look to it. And i love it, i mean it comes stock with 400 horsepower with their 6.0 liter (368 cubic) and i think this car is going to be a huge hit, maybe even a bigger hit then Ford's Mustang

Sorry, didn't trudge through the whole thread to see if anyone already responded to this.Do you know who Larry Shinoda is? He wasa Japanese guy whoredesigned the Mustang for 1969,arguably one of the best looking years for mustangs ever. When the all-new 2005Mustang came out, there was a young Japanese designer behind that, too, largely drawing inspiration fromShinoda's '69. These are landmark designs in the history of American cars. What's that got to do with the new Camaro? If the new Mustangwasn't the smash success that it is,there wouldn't even be a new Camaro to discuss right now. So, when you're done acting horrified thatsome foreigner may have touchedan Americancar, you might wantto write these guys a letter and thank themfor their contributions. From what I can tell, the new Camaro looks pretty darn cool.

thank you! i couldnt agree more!
As Someone that has a 67 and a 69, I really do not like the new concept car. The designers at gm should be fired. Anyone who owns a first gen or a camaro period should be insulted. GM, how could u?
The new camaro looks pretty cool, it has its own style and its a good thing that it looks like the new caddy;s because the new cadilac's are nice it looks like the old camaro because it doesnt have the wedge look like the 4th gens it has a bulky top and flat grill its a nice car plus 400hp makes it feel like a new camaro
If they bone me on the price of buying the new camaro ragtop I'll just do a lease on a new caddy.....everything I'm hearing about the performance and handling is A+++++ stuff. By the way...what do we have to do to start a new thread that says "2009 Camaro" instead of "2007"?
