Arrow Advice to remove Racing Stripes

Hey Guys,

I plan on removing the racing stripes on the car.
My plan so forth is:

1) Heat up the stripes using a hair dryer and then try to peel them off.

2) Once off apply rubbing alcohol to the portion that was previously hidden and the ridges to get rid of the residue

and further tips or suggestions?

Thanks

How long have you had your car? If it is fairly new then shouldn't be a problem but if its a year or older there may be color difference. What I am aiming at is as the suns shines on your car the paint slowly fades. Honestly if its a 12 or 13 i wouldnt worrry if its an 11 or 10 then there is a chance.

I agree with Adam the chances of still seeing where the stripes were is pretty high.....also if you do do it get a softer plastic type of scraper (like the vinyl type of tool used to apply bondo) to help along with the heat in removal. I also would try using some Meguiars cleaner/polish to get at any of the resude, it might take a little more elbow grease but will be much more paint frendly
