I own a 69 Camaro and im thinking about putting stripes on it. Im either going with black or white and was wondering what everyones opinion is. The white in my opinion sticks out more cause its alot brighter but the black looks kinda meaner. I also have a 5 inch cowl on my car and r gunna have to make the stripes pretty wide.

i'd go with balck stripes, my dad had black on red on his 68 convertible, looks awesome, black bumble bee stripes look good too, the bumble bee stripes really helps out a car if it's got a vinyl top

I'd go with white but maybe its just cuz i'm partial to accenting w/ white. I have a 1994 camaro that's dark green with white accents.

 

I'm repainting a 69, and was wondering if anyone had the actual GM factory dimension layout of the rally stripes that go on a 69? I'm looking for the original factory dimensions, not looking for someone to go measure theirs unless they know they are the correct dimensions.
Also if there are any professional painters out there, do you recommend putting down the stripe color first and then masking the main off and painting, or painting the whole car and then masking off and painting stripes, obviously I would think you would put the stripes on over the main color, but you never now about bleeding. Also do you recommend base/ clear or an acrylic urethane, maybe with clear over it? I paint all the time, but have never done any stripes and only used acrylic urethane 1 time.
I'm thinking Cortez silver main color with black stripes or the other way around, also might go blue or red main color with black stripes.
