Default advice on cold air intake

I have a 2010 v6 rs camaro and I'm planning on installing an after market cold air intake. Anybody have any input on the K&N versus the Air Raid brands??

I've heard the K&N ones are prone to causing CELs. Heard great things about Air Raid but never had one. Personally, I went with the Vararam and I have no complaints.

Not sure man, I've heard mixed reviews but don't personally know anyone who's had one. Seems that C.A.I., Vararam and Injen make the most popular intakes with the biggest butt dyno gains.

I also heard mix results with Volant. I'd probably go with vararam.

I am not sure if you are interested, but I choose the BBK 1772 Chrome Cold Air Induction System. I have noticed a slight increase in mileage but there seemed to be a significant improvement in the upper power band. I also have Magnaflow mufflers and between the two it give the system a much Throatier sound. Over all, I am very satisfied with this choice.

K&N is what I went with and it performs great and is fully warrantied.

Good stuff man! I'm guessing the rumored CEL issue has not produced itself for you so that's cool! What's next on the modlist? If you're driving a manual, I'd highly recommend a short shifter. There are a few out there, inexpensive and simple to install. I went with the Hurst.
