I have a 2013 Camaro and my 3rd brake light wasn't working. It's located in the rear deck by the speakers. It's a pain to get to, but I replaced the LED strip light with a new one, and it still doesn't work? Any ideas or help would be appreciated.

 

Voltage?

 

They never checked the voltage on it. They just unplugged the old one and plugged the new one in. I didn't realize they didn't check anything.

 

I see. So when you say "I replaced" you mean that you paid for it. That's what I would do too, but when doing wiring myself I have my multi-metre handy.

 

Yeah, I paid the dealership to install it. I figured they would get to the bottom of the issue but they said they didn't have time.

 

Hmm. What is happening to the world, or am I just getting old and grumpy? It takes next to no time to apply a volt-meter, once the wires are exposed. And apparently they didn't test it before returning the vehicle to you. Not confidence-inspiring.
