Default 2012 Camaro LS Rattle

I need help on what this rattle could be! I have a 2012 Camaro LS with 35k miles (bought it new in 2012). The past few months when the car is idle at a stop light there is a rattling noise on the driver side dashboard area. It only rattles while idling and in DRIVE. It is loud inside but when you pop the hood, you cant hear it. I have taken it to the shop twice, of course it won t rattle while it's there with them and they have already checked it out and cant find it. Also the ac/heater doesn't affect the rattle- it will rattle if i turn off or turn on the AC/ heater. It's loud on the driver's side because it seems to be coming from behind the front vent. Any ideas to tell my mechanic to check would be most appreciated!!

Look in the glove box, take all your stuff out. Then retest for the Rattle.

No that 's not it. Besides, the noise is coming from the driver's side.

Have you tried to listen under the vehicle will someone else leaves it in drive and on idle? I'm thinking it may be a rattle in the transmission that the sound is carrying up to what seems like the dashboard drivers side. You might hear it under the vehicle, if its not an engine noise.
