Default 2012 Camaro 1LS Foglights

I'm new here and just recently bought the base model 2012 Camaro 1LS. I would like to add Fog Lights onto mine. Is there a good website to order aftermaret fog lights? GM doesn't sell fog lights apart unless you get the RS package and the parts people from the dealership said they dont sell fog lights apart unless i get the rs package.... i only need the fog lights..
can any one help? I appreciate it..

ps - i looked all over this forums and none came up about the 2012 models fog lights..

thanks

I've been looking DRLs for my '13 1LS, also. All I've found, so far, are upgrade kits and not full install. My dealer told me they could probably add them...for $500...and basically said it would be a big pain in the ***. Maybe something could be down with one of the upgrade kits. The one's I found are at: www.phasetekperformance.com

I'd also like to eventually add the foglights/daytime running lights. Haven't really looked into how it would be done. I thought it would just be as simple as buying them, wiring them/plugging them in, and done, but it appears it's a bit more complicated than that.

Hopefully someone can chime in with some more info soon!

As I understand it, after you install them you'll need an update to the car's computer to tell it to use the DRL's instead of the the headlights for daytime. If you want to run both at the same time, there's an after market gadget that you can buy that gets connected to the wiring. I don't remember the particulars, but its something close to that.

Sorry if this is too big a bump. Also have an LS, I'm planning on putting the foglights but just wiring them differently than stock RS or SS models.

On RS, SS, ZL1s the fog lights are the daytime lights... on LS and I think LT, the daytime lights are just your regular headlights. So even on an RS, you have to wire your own switch if you want to control the fog lamps separately which would also get rid of your daytime lights. (Bad idea)

You just need to install a relay and hook everything up to a switch, most people put them under the steering wheel. Or, what I'm planning on doing, simply wire in your fog lights with your headlights/daytime lights. It'll come on whenever the computer commands the headlights on... so all the time unless you turn off automatic control or high beams.

They're available on Amazon, they're also the same fog lights as the Tahoe. (Or so the dealer says)
even if it comes with a stock connector you can cut it off and make it a pigtail.
