Hidden adjusting bolts on power steering pump
Does any body have a good trick or a special tool for getting on the back adjusting nut/bolt on a
power steering pump on a 1987 Z28? I am trying to replace the water pump on my sons camaro
and I have all the other accesories removed or out of the way accept the pump. I can get to every
fastener but one, the rear facing nut on the adjusting slot. I am a pretty good mechanic with good
tools but I am semi dis abled and cant get under the car (which is where I suspect most people go
to loosen this nut) I can feel the nut from the top with my index finger but cant get a wrench on it
since a bracket extends out just enough to hide it.
a socket with extension might work but it has to approach the nut from the rear of the engine.
any ideas would be apreciated.
