Default New aftermarket stereo? Possible?

Does anyone know what's involved in swapping out a factory Monsoon stereo head unit with an aftermarket stereo in a 2001 Camaro V6? I'm interested in doing that because I want to be able to play MP3 CDs, but keep the factory speakers and amp for now if it's at all possible? Any help I would appreciate! Have a great day and hope to hear from someone soon.

Default RE: New aftermarket stereo? Possible?

It is very possible! There is a peice that wires in with the deck to turn on the factory amp in some of those systems. Run by your local stereo shop and they should have it and be able to tell you about it.
