EGR Solenoid
After driving around for about 20 minutes my check engine light pops up (usually when cruising in low RPMS). I ran a scan and got 2 codes. Both of em say "EGR solenoid 1, 2". I'm guessing there some pretty bad carbon build-up. I've looked around and haven't been able to find a replacment online, I've only found other egr related parts like valves, gaskets, and vacuums.
What do you guys think I should do? Continue looking /asking around for a replacment? Or I've even heard that you can ride without the egr functioning something about an egr delete I'm not sure.
If anyone has been through this ordeal please let me know what's worked best for you. Thanks

The solenoids are in the EGR itself. There are 3 in the valve. I replaced mine last year. Of course you can delete the EGR, but that's up to you. It won't pass emissions if you don't have an EGR and you need to get it tuned out of your computer so the check engine light won't stay on.

Hate to ask but how would one go about deleting an egr, since it hurts performance anyway, Also would deleting mean less mpg as I drive in the city mostly in traffic. I feel like I might be losing some gas miles from this egr.

The egr on newer cars help performance. It only hurts it if it isn't working. But to delete it you need to get your PCM tuned to tune out the egr and then Just put a plate inbetween the egr hose and exhaust manifold. And do the same at the intake manifold.

I'm glad that you brought this up.
My 94 has been setting an EGR solenoid 3 code since I rebuilt the engine and started driving it last August. It is really pissing me off for reasons you'll soon understand.
My kneejerk reaction was to condemn the EGR assembly and hit the U-Pull-It yard. I did some research ahead of time and learned that the exact same part EGR is used on some years of the 3800 and there are *tons* of them in the junkyard.
I grabbed 3 of the cleanest looking EGR valves and went home happy. Part number on the valve was a match. I swapped in the best looking valve and went for a test drive. The SES light came on. Same code. WTF? Went home and tried another of the valves. Same thing happened.
Then it was time to read the service manual trouble tree for the conditions that cause that code to set. It turns out that the PCM runs checks on the EGR valve by pulsing each of the 3 solenoids individually and in combination during decel conditions (when EGR would not normally be active). The PCM monitors the MAP sensor response to determine if the correct pressure rise occurs for each activation.
Hit the U-Pull-It yard again and got a couple MAP sensors off 3.4 V6s. Swapped one into my car and -- guess what -- SES light came on again. Same code.
Now I'm really disgusted. I swapped in another PCM out of an identical car (94 Camaro 3.4 V6/auto trans) and went for a test drive. Yep. Same code set.
All these parts are not bad.
I'm not sure what I'll do next. Probably test the vacuum lines that connected the MAP sensor and the fuel pressure regulator to the intake manifold port. A leak in the line would give illogical pressure rise reading. I guess there's also a possibility that the throttle body gasket is leaking, the intake manifold gasket is leaking, or the IAC tip is leaking.
Any other ideas?

Check the metal flex hose between the intake manifold and the EGR. It's notorious for getting cracks in it. The previous owner of my car also put a plate there and no air was getting to the EGR and it was setting off my SES light even after I put in a new EGR.
