Default Tail Lights

Just wondering.....one of my taillights is dimmer than the other and I'm probably going to replace the lamp. I have a '97 Z28. Does anyone know how difficult it is to do this. I've looked at it very briefly in my Hanes manual and it appears to be a big pain. Anyone have any experience with this?

Mine does that too.. Does yours have water or condensation in it? Mine did because the seal on the amber piece was messed up, so I took it off and cleaned the inside because the water had gotten it dirty on the inside. I drained all the water and let it dry and put it back on. Its still a little dim though, so I'll probably get a whole new assembly, since I don't think its the lights that are the problem. Anyway, the water that was in the taillight caused the connections on my brake light to get a little rusty and so it didnt get a good connection and I was short a brake light. I got a new light socket thing.. (lol.. not sure what its called..) and wired it back up. Its still a little dim but all my lights work, and I tried to re-seal the amber piece. It was hard to get the amber piece back in just right though, its still a little off.. I don't think there is water in it anymore, but it will last until I get a new one.
