Default paint help please?

hi im new here and i cant spell, sorry. but that's becides the point. I bumped someone in the parking lot at school, and iv'e ben trying to paint the little spot my self. It's a teal 95 camaro, and my research says there is only one teal color on 95 camaros. (bright teal matalic). I ordered a can of bright teal matalic, and painted the spot with it. it looked nice, but it wasnt the same color, it was almost green and next to the rest of the paint it looked nothing like it. what did i do wrong? If my paint isnt factory paint, how do i get paint that matches my non factory paint? thanks for the help.

the paint on your car coulda faded from the sumlight.. this is a big prob in auto body.. the best thing you can do to fiz it right yourself is take it to a paint shop have them do a color match and mix it for you.. then sand until its smooth and feather the surrounding area with 320-400 grit and blend the surrounding area... but before you do all that how big of a spot we talkin here?

Go to the Chevy parts department with your VIN and say you need a bottle of touch up paint. For $10-$12 you get a bottle of paint that is the exact same color as your car.
