going to put some 315's on the camaro and was wondering what the right backspacing is for 11 inch rims. i have found info that is saying 7.75 but also have found i can go to 7.93 with mimimal mods. i have seen some wheels that fit inside the fender but cant seem to get info on the backspacing. i have a 93 camaro that will be getting a 12 bolt soon and i want to have the wheels figured out before i order.

im reading the zr1 has a 7.9 backspace and they will fit with some wheelwell adjusting. im going with a 7.85 and i will see what happens. i have aftermarket rotors on the back and they are thicker i just cant remember how much.

 

ok so i got the wheels put one one for a test and they do fit, i could/should have gone with 7.9 or 7.95. did have to bang one part of the wheelwell to insure there would not be a problem with rubbing on the inside. i think once i re center the rearend there will be more clearance on the inside. the outside however is an issue. the outside of the tire is even with the outside of the fender so its legal but im going to roll the fenderwell edge to see if i can get some clearance at least.
