Manywaxesare abrasive, if not used correctly it can do more damage than good.

Anyway, I can't find a hood that really catches my eye, especially for the price, so I think I'm gonna stick with what I have.

I have to ask, where are you getting this type of information? I have been detailing cars for years and have NEVER heard of, or seen what you talk about?

the only waxes out there right now, that are at all abrasive, are the new cleaner line of waxes, and as much as most people wax their cars, this will never be a problem

also, the only way these waxes are even abrasive, is about in the same effect as automotive clay. it's not really abrasive to the paint, but it is abrasive enough to clean any contaminants off of the surfaces

i guess it could be abrasive if you buff the hell out of it... but other than that no i dont think they are

oh and NOOOOOOO a cf hood would look bad but do what you want
i dont like them just cause ricers have them... i just think theyre ugly lol

Wax isnt the best thing for paint....it does some good but the long term affects are more bad than good

don't you only need to wax only like once a month.


also, i've heard that you can paint carbon fiber. I say get a cf hood and get it painted. It will look the same but weighA TON LESS!!!
