Question Bent/Cracked Alloy Rim Repair

Anyone here ever had Bent/Cracked Alloy Rims Repaired?

I guess some shops can heat them up and put them back into shape, but it seems too pricey and you could get another used wheel for the same price...

For cracks, another Camaro guy says this works, anyone used it?:

I had a couple of my last set of wheels repaired from be curbed. They were polished alum. and I think it was 100 bucks a wheel to get them fixed, but they came out great. They used a alum welder on my wheels to replace the material that was curbed off, so that would work also, but doing that yourself would be a pain I think unless you already had a welder to do it with.

Cool.

Well, this product just uses a regular torch with MAPP Gas -- so no welder required! I might give it a go...
