Default 97 Camaro Exterior Mod Question

I own a 97 Camaro RS, and lately I've been trying to find some information regarding a potential modification for the front end of my ride. What I need to find out is this: can the front bumper of a 93-97 Camaro be replaced with that of a 98-02 Camaro? The reason I ask is that I would like to install the projector headlights from the later gen vehicles. Does anyone know of this modification being attempted before?

i am currently workin on a low/high hid projector kit to fit the 93-97 camaros that retains the stock bumper and replaces the light housingswhen i get it finished i'll let you knowhow it works it may take a bit ive got alot of other paying projects going right now and not alot of time till their delivery date, but ill get to it in a bit. there are guys that put the driving lights and fog lightsin place of the headlights but they are not dot approved. im guilty as well did it to my brothers and he got fined butthe cop has it out for a few of us. the lights im using now are dot approved and will see what they come out looking like

Actually, are you looking for projection lights or HID's? Projection lights are very hard to come by even for 98+. The only ones I know off cost like $330, they just came out and they are the rice-iest things ever! And yes you can change the "bumper". It's called a front end conversion. And its not that easy. Nor worth it if you just want to change the lights. If want you want is better lighting, they now have HID's for 93-97! Get those instead!

what im using are the hella h.i.d. they replace the whole lighting assembly they are the round headlights u just need to make a braket to mount them and be handy with fiberglass to make trim for them. to hellas knowledge in their support department there is no kit to do this style of light for the 93-97 years the site u gave us was usfull but they still use the rectangle style light these are not cheap by any meanse at hellas cost to the consumer there about $560 per individual low beam and $600 each for the high beam u dont change the Bumper of the car but at night it looks like you have eyes coming down the road iv used piaa lights in my first car but they were not dot/sae approved and routinely was pulled over by the new cops in town. im lookin for a different look no one in this area is gonna spend the money to do this around here but im gonna try to market them through hella after we get it lookin right. but thanks for the site again there is a car on brent frankers websit that has the piaa lights u can find it in the camaro aperrance page just ype in the name in google and it will come up to his homepage and go from there

That site has the sealed beams for $350. Without having to do any modifications to the car. And even thats pricey. PIAA's are ok but to me they just don't look right. What ever you come up with has to be cheaper at least and be easy, since the average camaro owner is a novice at these things.
