Exterior Lighting
There are also LED retrofit lamps that simply plug into the existing sockets. Some are directional, and can be turned to direct the light towards the lens, or towards the reflector. Most LED lamps will require you also change the flasher to one specifically for LED, or the turnsignals wont work.
They are for early 2nd gen Camaros, but not later that I know of. I have a friend who's a United Pacific dealer, and he tells me about all the latest stuff.
I found two LED options for our style Camaro at the National Parts Depot. One is the normal set up and the other is sequential. The regular set is C-2685-18A $290 and the sequential pictured below is C-2685-18B $310. The smoked lenses from gts covers always looked good.

That's a lot of money to me. I'd probably do as I did with my '71 and buy something much cheaper and convert my own assembly. I think I spent under $100 to convert all 4 tail lamp housings. There are a ton of various LED tail lamp assemblies on Ebay that often have lamp type socket pigtails, so you just need to mount them inside the housing, and simply plug them into your socket(s).
Something like these 50 LED third eye bars can be stripped of mounting hardware, and installed inside your housing. Then choose the center for running lights, and the outer for turnsignal/brake lights. Might even be able to use the mount to bolt them into the housing, if it's not too large. Since my housings were round, I simply found a large enough round assembly to fit inside, and bolted it to the housing. Then connected the correct 1157 style socket to allow them to plug back into the existing sockets.
