Some 3rd Gen V8s are crap but not all. My 305 TBI is rated at 170HP stock and I have some mods, maybe looking at around 200HP. But the 350 TPI's would absolutley RAPE a 4th gen v6 no questions asked. Plus they respond well to bolt-ons. So yea the 4th gen V6s are about the same HP as the 305 TBIs, but thats not saying much. And the 305 has more torque.

OMG. HAWK!!!!!

ok, so cuz the eclipse is FWD and has turbo lag, it's the only reason the camaro won? don't think so. and even if it was, thats the Eclipse's downfall, not handi-cap. hence it sucks from a dig, so it was a proper win. i've also killed turbo talons and eclipses wiht my old camaro.. even killed 1 un modded (cept a fart can) GSX.
Camaro:
Auto
RWD
200-210 HP
-- ~165 WHP
225-235 TQ
-- ~185 WTQ
~3200 Pounds

Eclipse:
5spd
FWD
210-220 HP
-- ~175 WHP
175-185 TQ
-- ~160 WTQ
~3000 Pounds

do the math.. the Eclipse and 3800 are a driver's race from a ROLL. Unless seriously modded. From a DIG, the Camaro should pretty much always win, But will be close. Especially if it's a 5Spd.
Now Mod For Mod.. hands down eclipse, unless all he's done is a exhaust.

Point is, he shut down someone who TOLD him that the eclipse was better. Also, Driver = 90% of the race. so you can't pull that card. if the driver sucks, he sucks. he should of known he sucks.

Sounds like luck to me, a v6 camaro should not beat a turbo eclipse. and 1st and 2nd gen eclipse's have the same motor, only a few small things are diffrent. i wouldnt try to race one, i know too many people with stock looking cars with over 700 hp.

and a Stock Eclipse and Camaro, from a Dig, should be close, but, like i said, would think a camaro would take the victoy with same driver in each. happened to many times to me to think otherwise, numbers show it, and seen alot of videos, that say the same.. but i've only run into like 4 different ones, and raced each multple times at different times, and numbers dont necesecairly(sp?) mean anything.
