Default Stock 96 SS vs 10' SRT grand cherokee

Finally tried this camaro out a bit, did better than I thought it would. It's a M6 LT1 with mid tube headers, that's it other than standard SLP stuff.
I actually got a fender off the start and the Jeep is almost caught up at top if 1st. Speedshift and gain half a fender back but at top of second the Jeep is dead even. 3rd is neck and neck til red line and the SRT starts to pull ahead. I shut it down about 80 as he's nearly half a length on me.
Just curious as to what I might look to do to improve the top rpms now? Opti outta go and I do have lean code popping up from time to time. I'd like to eventually add some forced induction down the road.

Hmm maybe a new cam with a wider/ slightly higher rpm range and a tune. You should smoke 'em after that. http://ls1tech.com/forums/lt1-lt4-mo...ion-guide.html

Found that, link has a few street friendly cams that could get you what you're looking for.
That cc305 or the 503 would probably do well if the rest of the valvetrain is up to it. I would probably go with a higher stall to get you in the power range quicker though.

Someone didn't notice he said it was M6

A cam might help your top rpms, but a nice set of tires will help you hook. The jeep is tough to beat cause its AWD
