I have raced one from a dead stop it was Supercharged and had CAI and exhaust. I beat it by like 3 cars to 100. From a roll it did a little better because it didn't spin so bad, I still won though pretty bad at that.

At our local unprepped 1/8th mile strip I see the SS cobalt running not lower than 9.4 totally stock the SS camaros I see are running 8.7 to the low 9s same as the stock GTOs should be the camaro a few car lengths in the 1/8th I would think more in the 1/4.

Okay since my bestfriend rolls around with me in his SS/SC Cobalt.. I must say i have had quite a good experience with this.. Stock vs Stock from a dig = The camaro will win all day long.. Even agains a Stage 1 or Stage 2 SS/SC Cobalt the STOCK SS Camaro will win. The problem with the Cobalt is that it takes 1st gear to get to the desired boost and they dont hook up for **** (for clarification // on the street they dont hook up). By the time they need to shift to second your atleast a 3/4 car on them. With the stage2 after the dyno its still not good for that car to go from a dig, if they want to go from a 25-30mph roll (stage1/2 vs Stock Camaro) then its going to be who ever stood on the pedal first will have the win.. And of course the Cobalt will fall off around 90-100 mph and the SS Camaro will just walk away.. Race a Stage 1 from a 30 roll with a Stock SS, its a good rush (only if the Cobalt driver knows his car/ can actually drive it)

its that close between the cobalt and a mustang GT from a roll. and the ls1 has all top end. I would give the win to the SS in any circumstance

I'm tired of hearing about these cobalts, I think I need to smoke one cause everyone's talking like cobalt owners are like mustang owners, ignorant and think they're are faster than everything. I DO know I've seen a few SRT-4's around and every one of them rev's their engine like it ain't nobodys business. All I can say is they are definitely lucky I'm not in my car when I see em. I'm usually rollin around in my buddy's 07 Eclipse when I see em
