right when you launch, dont floor it. if you do, your more than likely going to spin the wheels for a while. push down on brakes and gas at same time. on go release the brake and give a gas in a smooth motion. rolling your foot till you get to the bottom then from there you can keep stomping.

Put it in 1st and load it up against the converter...
...push the brake down with your left foot and rev it (right foot) as high as you can go without breaking the tires loose or creeping...
On "green" or "go" or "arm drop" or whatever, take left foot off of brake pedal and smash right foot gas pedal to the floor... run the RPM as high as you feel comfortable and slap it into 2nd, etc...

First off the GTO is a little on the fat side this is why the LS1 GTO is slower then the F-body. However the LS2 has a good chunk of power over the LS1. Your mods even up the field a little bit but it is a drivers race with your mods.
My best advice would be to start with the car in (D) do not load the car up hard on the converter. You are a near stock car to get off the line all you have to do is wait till the last yellow light (if you where at the strip) and smash the gas. You will leave harder and get a better 60 then stalling the converter up.
If you spin then you need a better set of tires. You should be able to fit a good set of 275 Nitto's under there with no problem. I recomend the 555R but if you want to be hard core you can go with the MT DR's but you might not see the miles you would out of the nittos.
DO NOT TRY TO SHIFT YOUR SELF. The A4 is a great transmission put it in drive and let it do the work.

I would not call that a race man. That was no where close to even a 1/8th mile. Your racing two cars that are able to run 150+ miles a hour and it didnt look like the GTO or the Z got a good start.
