Default should i do it?

this guy with a stock gto wants to race me i have lt headers flows cai and 373 gears i know it has a ls2 but aren't they really heavy..who do u guys think would win

also i have an A4 when i launch should i put it in neutral and rev a lil then drop it to D? or just keep it in D and go?

Only if you want to ruin the transmission, blow the rearend, separate a trans mount, or scatter a u-joint.
What year is the GTO? 2004 had the LS1, which would make it even more interesting for you.

Put it in 1st and load it up against the converter...

...push the brake down with your left foot and rev it (right foot) as high as you can go without breaking the tires loose or creeping...

On "green" or "go" or "arm drop" or whatever, take left foot off of brake pedal and smash right foot gas pedal to the floor... run the RPM as high as you feel comfortable and slap it into 2nd, etc...
