On the way home from hanging out with some friends I got stopped at a light.
Across the street turning on the way I was going to go was a ugly red v6 stang, I thought ooooooo, maybe a race!
Right after, a sexy black C5...woah.

I didn't really think I would catch up to either of them since my light was taking so long, but they got stopped at the next light.

I pulled up behind the Vette, I could tell he had an exhaust, his tips were slightly bigger, still the 4 barrel style but definately different, and it sounded great!

Anyway, light turns green and we come out normally, theres a bit of traffic around us, but he's going awfully slow.
I'm thinking "UGH....Its just another old guy with a Vette, guess I'll just pass him then..."
WRONG!
After the traffic around us got in front I pulled next to him to pass. Its a kid! Probably 20's or so.

I started pacing him, just trying to see if he would run, and how badly he would beat me, lol.
We're going about 40 when he downshifts...Screw my automatic, 40 has no pull for me what-so-ever.
Anyway, he jumps it, no honks or anything so I tried to play catch up from two cars back instantly lol. No luck there.

Long story short, V6 Camaro thinks its another old guy in a Vette who drives it like a *****, V6 gets whooped.

 

c5's are very attractive!

the front end of my car was close to the rear of the vette i raced awhile back. but yes he still won.

 

I wish we would have gone down to 30 so I could have gotten a jump on him lol.
Not saying I would win or anything, but definately would have been closer!
