Well tonight comming home, I was going down one a main road that is mostly strait & no neighboor hoods. Im infront of the traffic becuase I was first at the light. I look in the rear veiw & notice this car cutting in & out of traffic and then he cuts over into the opisate lane from me. He has atleast 20 MPH on me and is comming up fast.

So I was going about 55 and when he came up to my rear bumper I dropped it into drive & floored it. Thats when I got a good look at it from the side, and saw that it was a G5 (the twin of the cobolt) and I also notice it was the lower model not the S/C'd one. Not That I had to look becuase as soon as had he got past my rear bumper and moved up to my door, he stopped pulling. Then I just pulled away like mad. I only pulled away about a 1/2 a car before I let off, but it was pretty ovbious that I was about to put a few buses on him.

So I go back down to 55 and let him go, and he slows down and lets me pull up next to him. Looks like they come standard with a 20 yr old that wears a backwards hat, drives with one hand on top of the steering wheel & has the seat reclined as far as it can go. He wanted to play a little, so instead of honking I just let him take off & get a bumper on me, then I just give it gas and go by him. Did that twice and gave him a thumbs up, but just got a dirty look.

Oh well, not the most exsiting race. But was alot more fun that the usualy ride home.

 

lol, the lady who cleans for my uncle has one, he backed into it at 5 mph and the shop I work at is replacing the hood, bumper, foam filler, bumper support, and both headlights, did not hold up to **** lol

 

damn, thats why they call them american imports.

what, the driving with one hand on steering wheel? ha me too. and the 20 yr old kid part, nix the other 2 lol. don't u love it when they have the seat so far back in a 4door car that they look at you from the backseat? hah

prolly cuz i cant fit any other way. im a big guy and people say i look like a gangsta[:@]but they dont really mean it and i get pissed cuz thats the only way i can fit in my car. mabe the kid had long legs. its too bad his g/f wasnt there to see his shame

 

I have my seat all the way back in my maro too, but thats because its easier to drive with my long legs. Theres a difference when your in a small sport/muscle car & a midsized seden like car. So you guys are waived from that question of the gansta test.

 

The G5 isin't the cobalt, the Pursuit is. Had it been a SS S/C Cobalt you would have probably got spanked, those things can MOVE!

 

I don't have a girlfriend right now but every time my sister rides with me I always win for some reason. I've beaten 5 people with my sister in the carboth with my Z28 and my Sierra. Guess she's a good luck charm in disguise!

 

Acully it is the cobalts sister. They are both built GM delta platform and the G5 is pontiacs equivalent to the cobalt. (like the Firebird & Camaro) If you notice I put somthing in there about not having to see that it wasent supercharged. A supercharged cobalt or G5 would have pulled away from me pretty quickly. they are over a second faster than me in the 1/4 mile. (assuming a respectible driver)
