Race the stang but practice your luanches. If these people are into racing stock camrys somthing tells me they dont know how to luanch a car.

When you line up, press the brake to the floor with your left foot. At the same time rev your engine to about 2K-3K RPM and hold it. make sure your tires dont spin. When they start the race, pop you foot off the brake and floor the gas. Adjust depending on how much you spin.

Practice that a few times & you should be OK. Good luck.

 

If she can drive, she'll beat you. A 5spd 5.0 Fox will run a low 15, probably and an auto 5.0 TBI 3rd gen F-body is roughly a mid 16 second car. You don't really stand a chance.

 

well we ended up racing from a roll and her boyfriend was the one racing he took me i lost pretty bad. u guys think if i got an intake and long tube headers with a borla i would stand a chance?

 

You'd probably need full bolt-ons and gears to give him a decent run.

Full bolt-ons consist of: headers, full exhaust, intake, UD pullies, and there's probably more, I just can't think of them right now. Just look at any online parts store, like WS6store.com or some place like that.
