How well would I do against aSTOCK c6 z06?lets saytheirboth good drivers. My car 2001 camaro ss A4 mods are moser 9" with 3.89's, 3200 stall, subframe connectors, full exhaust, tune, drag radials, K&N, slp lid, 85mm maf, Qa1 coilovers, and N20 spraying 150 shot (sprays at 3600rpm window switch). So how do you guys think I would do? Do I have enough to keep up? From a roll or/and a dig? Have no plans on racing one inlessI ran into one, butI thoughtI would ask im currious.[/align]

 

he is a mid 11 second car, from your mods you sound like maybe a high 11 at best, maybe low 12

 

yeah, you would be high 11 low 12 depending on your driving ability. from a roll youd be toast. the new z06 has actually done a 10.8 pass on just slicks.

 

hes right, i was just referring to on street tires. and the thing has a flat power curve, so no matter when you hit him, roll or dig, you lose

 

You may as well try to be racing a Fararri Enzo or a Saleen S7...no bueno

 

these cars beat most anything on the road, including european supercars, and only cost more than 100 grand less

 

Well with having these mods on my car what kind of sports/muscle car would be my best bet my best match stock or modded?

 

probably a Porsche 911 Carrera, or a MB SL55 AMG. should be able to beat the CL65 AMG; even though it has a 6L twin turbo V12, it's as heavy as a house

 

Well, you can probably match an '08 'vette. And from experience, I know you could beat a basePorsche Carrera (mine's the bottom of the line with only 320 HP but then it weighs just 3140 lbs, but it is an automatic, they are a full second slower to 60 mph off the line -- the 6-speed is low low 13s, mine is 13.4-13.5). If the car is a recent model and says Carrera on it you can probably take it; a 6-speed will be a race, an auto like mine will be no challenge. But if it says Carrera S (not Carrera S4), beware, automatic or 6-speed, they do about 12.4, even though they are rated at only 355 HP - not sure why they are so much faster: those 35 extra ponies are very big, though. Carrera S4 weights more because it has 4 wheel drive -- impossible to beat it to 60 but the weight shows by the end of the 1/4 -- about 12.6-12.8.

 

the Carrera S has the same size rear tires as the Carrera 4S. they are much wider than the regular Carrera's
