Well I went out to the track this weekend and went cruising. I didnt run a c6 z06 but I did run a moded c5 z06 on the highway which I ended up putting a car length on when we ran. I also met with a guy at the track who had a 2008 c6 ls3 430hp bone stock corvette. I asked him if he wanted to run and he se said sure. We ran 4 times I beat im every time. Three of those runs were on motor and one with the spray. He was runin high 12's and low 13's. He said he's coming back next weekend so were gonna go again and see we both can improve on our times. Every time he ran he got a little better than the time b4. But so did I. LastweekendI ran 12.24 on spray.This last saturdayIran12.11 made another pass 12.0x. IM hopenfor 11's next friday. Ill let you guys know how it goes and ive got a video of me racin the vette ill try and put it on here.

 

you could also beat a ford gt, a gt 500, a older viper, not an 07 or 08, and you could prolly beat pretty much any domestic short of a saleen

 

GT500's should be a piece of cake for his car, they have horrible traction problems, too much power, too little tires

 

Yeah, all they did was stuff a 500hp V8 in an otherwise stock Mustang GT, without doing any suspension mods or anything to make the car effectively handle the increased power.

i've done it, but not in a straight line. auto x, he was constantly overpowering the course. got him buy 1 1/2 seconds

 

yeah, and the ford gt is a waste, its way expensive, and its more of a looks car than a performance car

 

they really aren't good for autocross racing either

 

WellI knowI couldn't take a C6 Z06 on slicks butI might be able to stay right with a bone stock one with a good driver. I took my car out to the drags tonight and ran one pass on spray better than last time which was 11.83 at 117 on a incorrectly installed nitrous setup. That problem has now been fixed. I ran 11.58 at 118.94mph and 60' was 1.77 spinning off the line and with a ****ty tune. After whichI get fixed and change my tires im hoping for 11.30's at around 120mph. Good enough to stay up with aBONESTOCK C6 Z06 stock tires, good driver? Any change in opinion or amI still toast?

 

ZO6's are good for about an 11.2 with a good driver. seen one that hit an 11.15 at 125, but that guy was REALLY good
