Hey guys my friend wants to run me in is 07 gt. only mod i have is intake, and he has intake as well. how will the race go, he is 5 speed im auto.

those gt's go low 14's with a good driver, yours does high 14s with a good driver

 

Aren't the auto GT's in that year faster than the 5 speeds though? Im pretty sure and I raced one at the track a while back and it managed to get the best time of 14.9 on street tires auto, while I finished at best of 14.5 (should have been faster both of us but poor track prep and crappy conditions). I honestly think it will be a close race given that it is 5 speed but still an edge to the GT.

 

okay i was wonderin. cuz i raced my friends 350z hr auto, from dig it was who ever caught traction first, from a 20 roll i put two cars on him. so we will see. and even the auto hr Zs go high 13s

 

also ran my friends 04 350 z 6 speed from a 20 roll, and i had a bumper or two on him till like 100mph, then he pulled a car. he has cat back and intake and is a veryyy good driver too.

 

What year does your friend say he has as a 350z. Because an auto HR is actually faster than high 13s. So I don't think your friend has an HR.

This sounds more true. If so, you and the GT will probably tie but no telling until you actually race. I murder 04 Z's by a second or more on a strip so I don't know what will come from this race.

 

I was wondering kinda the same thing. Havent had the oppurtunity yet, but would love to get ahold of a newer GT. I destroyed a 99ish 4.6L, but was curious how the Mamba would hold up against a newer one. Mines also a 94 LT1 A4, with CAI, longtube headers, underdrive pulley etc, so I think I could tear one up
