hmmm..i really thought that they were faster than that...was that one of fords "over rating years"?? i know they had a problem with that for a while...

It might have been, I know a bunch of people sent cobras back because they were underpowered.

Either Ford over rates their engines or GM under rates their. Don't know which, but it has been going on since Ford stopped selling flat heads.

ford was flat out lying about the power the motors were rated almost 30-40 hp.why do you think the supercharged them. thats why i switched to the ls-1 cars. 4.6 ford motors are turds unless they are superchared.

YEAH I HAD AN 01 GT 4.6 5 SPD, IT WAS ALRIGHT, BUT NOT FAST ENOUGH. I MEAN LOOK I GOT RID OF IT FOR AN 86 IROC-Z THATS ABOUT TO HAVE A BIG BLOCK IN IT, SO CAN YOU TELL WHAT I LIKE MORE. LOL AARON

AND ALSO MY FRIEND HAD A STOCK 03 GT 5 SPD, AND ITS RATING IS 260 HP, BUT WHEN HE DINOED IT, IT ONLY PUT DOWN 227, TO ME THATS PRETTY CRAPY.

thats not to bad for that dyno pull, remember that power has to go thru the tranny and the rear before it hits the road..

yes i realize that, but my friend has a 02 ram air and his only lost 10 hp to the wheels on the dyno, thats what i was talking about, i just felt like the mustang should have not been that bad.
