Default LS1 Camaro Z28 vs. LS2 GTO

Who would win from a dig and a roll in a street race?

Whats the difference in appearance between the ls1 and ls2 gto's? is it simply the 5.7 and 6.0 badges?

the LS1 GTO had a flat hood , and both exhaust tips are on the left side of the car , the LS2 GTO has scoops on the hood and the exhaust is split , has one pipe on each side. an LS1 car you should be able to take if you can drive . an LS2 car you would probably be able to get or at least run very close if you run from a dig because the IRS isn't the greatest for traction off the line , but they will jump pretty good from a roll....they weigh about the same as your car , same tranny , but an extra 70hp....

I'm pretty sure they are fat pigs, and weigh close to 3800ish lbs.

From a dig you might pull a little, but it should pull back and it be even.

From a roll it should beat you.

Gotcha, I figured that was probably what would happen Hiss, thanks. Buncha military dudes around here rollin around in Lancer EVO's, STI's, LS2 GTO's, Chargers... these are just young kids in the military too. They don't do anything but put money into their cars, its crazy

So what about an evo and an sti? I know they'd get me from the dig cause of AWD, but from a roll?

They lose massive amounts of power through the drivetrain, since they are AWD.

A dig they should destroy you...if they can drive.

But you will eventually catch up them, on a stock for stock race.

Your ls1 has very good top end power, so a roll should be no problem, and you would dominate them.

Cool, cool. Around here there really is no place to race from a dig cause I live in a small town so everything is 2 lane roads. I guess I look to the roll on more than anything since the highways around here are really the only place to race, unless someone really wants to be an idiot and pass on a 2 lane road downtown. After learning this I'd actually like to pull up behind an sti or evo on the highway hehe

So are the STI and EVO about the same? from a dig and a roll?

Yes,

They are have around the same hp/tq and they are both awd.

I'm not an import guru so I'm not exactly sure of their hp/tq.
