So my Camaro is only a POS v6 that's only running on 5 cylinders right now...............
However, a reckless driver can make up for alot.
I was coming home from college one night and this dark colored something literally flew right past me. I was going 70 and he went by so fast he was already about 5-6 car lengths ahead before I realized what had happened. I was feeling frisky so I punched it and caught up (he had gotten mucked up in some traffic) I got on his tail and followed him through the traffic. I knew the highway became 3 lanes soon so I was making my plans. The first opening I saw I jumped in it and got around him, I played thread the needle with this guy until I got to my exit and he kept getting further and further back. He never could quite grow a set big enough to make some of the moves I made. I've tried to find out exactly what kind of car it was and the closest I can see is one of those ugly Ford GT thingys.

It's not an out and out kill but it was fun. And it reinforces that anyone can operate alot of horsepower, but you gotta be a little crazy to really drive.

My most satsifying kill was a three-way race around christmas time 2005, back when the 'vette was only running about 595 RWHP. I posted it at the time on the sister Corvette forum to this.

A guy we'd see occasionally at our local watering hole had a new C6 ZO6 with headers and a tune, CAI, etc.,and heabsolutely and rather constantly insisted his car was the fastest thing around. He claimed it could beat aany of mine, and he was quite loud and obnoxious about it. So we made the following bet, in public, during one of his bragging fests at the Pub, where he could hardly back done --one 1/4 mile, three way race: his ZO6 against me driving my 'vette and my youngest son (25) driving the Camaro: if he beat either of my cars he got $5000. If he beat both he got $10,000. If both beat him took the $10,000. Cash in hand only, held by a third party (the bartender at our local place).

We ran on a not-yet opened stretch of new interstate late at night during the middle of the week: cold, clear night, dry. Fairly small crowd considering. To make it fair we loaned him a set of racing slicks and let him practice a couple of launches with them first (don't think he'd ever been on slicks before).
The race was as you'd expect. At the dropped flag the Camaro lifted one front wheel and catapulted itself three lengthes in the link of an eye -- it was gone. He launched his ZO6 pretty good. So did my 'vette and they were neck in neck (both traction limited) until about halfway through second gear, then my vette just gradually accelerated and left him well behind. The Camaro finished ahead of me by, oh, ten lengthes, (it probably did about 10.2 that night) and I finished ahead of him by maybe another ten. It wasn't just a kill, it was a slaughter.

We got the cash being held by the referree. We never saw him around again although I've seen his car on the street once since. Andt we never got our spare set of slicks back.

Oh no, he put money down. He brought $10,000 cash to the race, held by the bartender and several of his friends at the starting line. I brought $10,000 cash. The deal was if he beat either of my cars he got $5,000 of my money, plus of course his back; both and he took all of it home. To get his $10,000 (plus keep ours), both of my cars had to beat his. And we did. We got the money, but as I said he drove off with our spare set of steel wheels and drag slicks.
