Only respectful wins. Sorry beating a Geo is not respectful unless its that ls1 geo that runs 12s then that another story.

my "finally a new win" post was a good kill you said so yourself

 

about1month ago it was a really nice weekend, all sorts of sweet cars out while i was driving home from my dads house in the grand prix. So later on around 5'oclock i decide to take the Z out for a spin.
no more than1/2 mile up the road i see a 70's Mach 1 mustang, dam near mint, bright yellow, fastback, Mach1 decals on the side, and a black racing stripe, sounded real nice.

I can see the guy checkin out my car as i started to get closer, and he lets out a couple of loud rev's.

when i pull up to the light I look over and see a mid 20 year old guy with his girl in the car, she was checking out my car and kinda rolled her eyes, and the guy driving yelled over "that bow tie got any *****?"
so i yelled back, "if you can keep up you might find out"

he starts revin his motor up a bit getting ready to launch, as do i, by that time just about everyone at the intersection knew what was going to happen, and just about every car i glanced at was fixed on me and this mustang.

light turns green, we both take off, i put about 2 lengths on the guy as soon as my tires grabbed, i was at about 3/4 throttle i hear the guy hit 2nd gear and he startes creepin up on my door, him and his girl are both at this point smiling, anticipating the win. as soon as 2nd gear hit i punched it, and held it, (which i hardly ever do) at WOT, the z let out a loud *** screech from under the tires and i start to pull ahead, and fast, put about 3 length's on the guy pretty quick, and kept pulling, ended up shutting her down at about 110, mustang guy and his girl are both speechless, the chick smiled at me, and the dude just shook his head up and down as if saying " yea its got ***** alright!"

thanks, last year i ran a 12.01 with my old valvetrain setup, made some changes this year, it seems to pull much harder down low , and with my new beehive springs im seeing higher RPM's,After i take it to the dyno, to re-tune for new specs, im hoping for high 11's

 

i had a good kill last night, i took my car out cruisin around last night and this reall nice blackmid 80s el camino pulls up beside mein townand gives it 3 honks and we take off at about a 20 roll, it was pretty close up to about 80 and we ran out of road, so we shut down and the kid followed me out of town. thats when i realized it was a kid from our local track that runs in the high school class. All i know is he has a 406, gears,dual exhaust and street tires,and it runs pretty damn good. So the second run we went outside of town andwent from a dig. i jumped him off the line by about a fender and i just slowly pulled on him all the way up to about 110. I ended up winnin by about a car length. fun times....too bad it a was a nice chevy though
