I was crusin around in Worcester when they were doing hte burn outs and i pulled next to a black WS6 that was stock with an Auto. it was on a main street so I let off around 60 ish. I beat him by about a car and a 1/2. Theguy was so mad that i beat him in the same car. The reason I won was due to traction issues on his part. When the light was still red he was revvin his car so I knew it was on. I warmed my DRs in the street and i brought mine up to 3000 rpm and my SS jumped off the line with the greatest of ease an after second gear i shut it down. we were talking at Wendys when my girl was grabbin food and I showed him why I beat him so bad.. WhenI was leaving I exchanged #'s of my friend who sold me my tires and I talked to the kid and he got a call the next morning putting his on order. I cant wait to see him again. I also raced a 03 mustang from a 40+ roll (he jumped on the third honk) on the high way home. I dont need to give a long story about a GT because we all know the out come to that... 2 wins for the SS.. My only loss of the night was to a new cts-v with the 6 speed... damn ls2 2-1 is not bad

 

Don't feel bad about loosing to the CTS-V, that's like being sad because you lost to an LS2 Corvette...same car, differnt body(and slightly heavier).

 

Yeah I know...I wasn’t mad I was just disappointed because I got that up tight snob look from the guy... I took him off the line and he reeled me in like a fat bass.

 

what drag radials do you use?

i just switched from nittos to Mickey thomsons and the MTs are 100X better

 

congrats on the wins. I have a ws6 and have yet to lose to another ls1 thats stock like mine. All I have is A pos flowmster with stock pipe and the car is auto. maybe we should line up one day. LOL

 

My friend who works at the tire store told me not to get the nittos.. I havnt broght them to the track but for the strip just warm them up and they hook... i dont have any problems yet with them. the m/t i think are going to be the next ones i try next year. how are they in the rain??? i can launch around 3k and slight wheel spin and than it goes.

 

i havnt driven them in the rain yet but i went through a puddle the other day and hydroplaned pretty bad.
